Obelisk

"The Obelisk" is a mystical site nestled in a secluded grove within the heart of the forests near Wildreach, close to a cascading waterfall that feeds into a serene, crystal-clear body of water. The grove is a tranquil sanctuary, shielded from the outside world by towering ancient trees and a natural canopy of lush foliage.

At the center of this enchanting grove stands the Obelisk, a towering structure of smooth, dark stone that reaches towards the sky like a silent sentinel of the forest. Carved with intricate symbols and runes of a forgotten language, the Obelisk exudes an aura of ancient power and mystery.

Surrounding the base of the Obelisk is a vibrant display of the Prismara Midnight Blossom, a rare and magical flower that blooms only under the light of the moon. Its petals shimmer with iridescent hues of deep blues and purples, casting a mesmerizing glow that dances in harmony with the gentle flow of the waterfall.

As the moonlight filters through the dense canopy above, it creates a play of light and shadow around the Obelisk, enhancing its mystical presence. The air is filled with the soothing sound of cascading water, blending with the soft rustle of leaves and the distant calls of nocturnal creatures.

"The Obelisk" in the secluded grove near the waterfall and the Prismara Midnight Blossom is a place of wonder and tranquility, where the boundaries between the mundane and the magical blur, inviting those who seek it to experience the harmony of nature's beauty and mystery.

Real Purpose

The Obelisk is actually the "WEAVE RECEPTACLE" of the Mysterious Beacon. Once inserted it will begin the power-on sequence for the Novaria Spaceport. Once the players have gotten to the Obelisk with Professor Thorne they will be figuring out what it all means. With a few sucuessful checks the players can figure out a method that will activate the Obelisks' locator feature. It will shine a sharp red beam towards the mountains in the background. This will point the way to the Mysterious Beacon.

Once the Mysterious Beacon is inserted a booming voice from the Obelisk will announce in celestial: "Obstruction detected. Power-Up sequence aborted. Please remove obstruction before power-up sequence continues. "

A blue beam will erupt from it to the waterfall behind it. The waterfall will slowly begin to stop and doors behind the waterfall appear opening the way to the Novaria Spaceport.
